Hyundai is expanding its range of lift trucks with four new sit-on reach trucks. The machines, with load capacities of 1.4 t, 1.6 t, 2.0 t and 2.5 t, are equipped with the latest generation of electric motors with AC technology.

They stand out thanks to their higher performance, lower maintenance costs and reduced energy consumption. An optimised motor design ensures particularly low noise emissions. These trucks are designed for intensive use in warehouses, where they perform their tasks cleanly and quietly. The battery capacity lasts an entire shift, so the machine can be used to its full working potential.

The powerful drive motor and remarkable stability of the reach truck guarantee its high productivity, grade-ability and safety. After stopping on a slope, the anti-rollback function ensures the best possible operational safety. The electromagnetic brakes, which are fitted onto the load-bearing wheels, allow for increased braking performance. By turning the ignition key to Start, the position of the driving wheels is automatically calculated and returned to the central position. This ensures a controlled start-up every time, which also helps reduce the risk of accidents. The truck’s extremely small turning radius, combined with its compact dimensions, ensure efficient work even in narrow aisle operations. The lifting height reaches up to 12 m. A camera can be fitted ex works between the forks especially for higher masts. On a screen, the driver can see whether the lifting fork is at the right height above the shelf so as to insert or remove the palette.

Hyundai has, as always, paid particular attention to providing the operator with a comfortable working environment. It offers the best conditions for fatigue-free work and high productivity. The comfortable driver’s seat is positioned in a right angle to the lifting equipment, to achieve the compact dimensions possible and high manoeuvrability. All controls are laid out ergonomically and are clearly displayed. The control functions for steering the lift are operated simply and comfortably with mini-levers that can be manipulated with the fingertips of the right hand. The left hand operates the control that steers the drive wheel. A toggle switch is used to switch between the forward and reverse driving directions. Alternatively the steering wheel can also be changed from its normal 180-degree field to 360 degrees, allowing the driving direction to be changed by this means instead. The steering wheel can be ergonomically adjusted by the driver.

Hyundai gives all its machines the maximum possible in terms of durability and productivity. Unnecessary technical subtleties are not a priority. Everything is done, on the other hand, to increase the machines’ safety and efficiency. All parts are assembled with Hyundai’s usual robustness and durability, giving the forklift trucks a high availability and a long lease of life. The thoroughly thought-out design furthermore ensures that all the components are easily accessible, making the truck particularly convenient to maintain.
